Let's make some movies!

Now available at Wal-Mart nationwide, Susie's Hope is the true-life story of the survivor of a pit bull attack who finds healing when she adopts an abused pit-mix puppy found in a park.  Starring Emmanuelle Vaugier and Burgess Jenkins as Donna and Roy Lawrence, the film received the Dove Family Award and is proudly partnered with  the American Humane Association.  A significant portion of all proceeds go to animal rescue charities.

When I first met Donna and her beautiful dog, Susie, in the fall of 2011, I was instantly captivated by their story.  Susie is a remarkable girl, and she absolutely deserves the Hero Dog Award she received in 2014.  Her fame is driving an important cause in America: bringing an end to animal cruelty.

I am proud to have served this story as a screenwriter and producer, and I hope you will join me in celebrating the film's nationwide DVD release by posting pictures of yourself buying the movie at Wal-Mart with the hashtag #SusieIsMyHero!

I am truly thankful for all of my friends and family that have followed along on my adventures this year, and I appreciate your support. 2015 was an exciting year! 

Chattanooga  was recognized as a Finalist in the Big Break Screenplay Competition and a Quarter-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, among others.  I worked on two phenomenal film productions, The Disappointments Room (2nd Accountant) and Holding Patterns (Production Coordinator), as well as several commercials.  I continued teaching Theatre at Guilford Technical Community College, and I established relationships with new universities for the coming year.

In September, my family and I moved to Atlanta.  The film production here is substantial, and I have been very fortunate to make many new friends in the industry.  I look forward to sharing more adventures in 2016!
