I had the wonderful opportunity to work as the 1st Accountant on the feature film THE TAKING this past fall. Working closely with the Line Producer to stay on budget, I was up-close and personal with the numbers. It was an honor to work with Rene' Besson, who taught me a lot about how to stay on track financially. After all, nothing could be worse than running out of money mid-way through the shoot!
The film, directed by Adam Robitel and co-written by Adam and Gavin Heffernan, is a low-budget horror production with big-screen potential. The producers (and I) had to keep the big name backing the film a secret for most of the shoot, but eventually, it was announced publicly in Deadline: Mr. Bryan Singer.

I cannot speak highly enough of all the cast and crew involved, who took care of one another and made sure the film came in on time, on budget and (most importantly) on story!
