With great enthusiasm, I have accepted an adjunct position with the University of North Georgia's Film + Digital Media Department. The course Writing for Media introduces sophomores to the core concepts of creating scripts for film, television and new media. With a focus on practice, students will explore the principles of dramatic writing and the power of great stories while crafting their own scripts.

UNG's fast-growing program offers tremendous opportunities for students interested in all aspects of film, TV and broadcast journalism.  I am honored to join the illustrious faculty, and I look forward to meeting my new students in January.

Guilford Technical Community College students can now sign up for my online classes in the art of dramatic writing!  These enormously popular classes (DRA-126) focus on writing for stage and screen, but also incorporate fairy tales, creative essays and narrative poetry.  I am so glad to be able to offer this course again, as we work through the nature of story and the many ways to tell it in your own voice.

Circus Road Films Screenplay Competition has released their list of Semi-Finalists in their 2015 competition, and I am excited that Chattanooga has been selected.  Circus Road is a production company that has a strong track record of successful films, and their contest can help provide access for screenwriters to the industry.  It is great to be recognized by people who are out making movies!
