I find it hard to believe that it has already been a year since we finished shooting the film Nevermore, directed by Emmy Award-winning effects artist Dean C. Jones. With a completed edit, the producers secured a sales agent, and the title of the film has been changed to Dark Awakening. Either way, the story will creep out audiences worldwide!
When I originally auditioned for a minor role in the film, I did not expect the opportunity to turn into one of my favorite experiences I've had in filmmaking. With their NC Casting Director laid out with the flu, the producers asked me to step into the position. I was honored to meet hundreds of North Carolina actors in the audition process, and I couldn't have been happier with the cast we selected. Congratulations to all of the talented actors.
The legendary Donald Pemrick handled principal casting, and the film stars Lance Henriksen, Jason Cook and Valerie Azlynn.
