This past Tuesday was a fun day working on a commercial for a furniture company. I was a Camera P.A. which means that I assisted in setting up the Arri D-21, slated and kept the camera reports. I was also responsible for cleaning up the set between shots. It was a cyc painted bright white, and every scene had smashing and trashing, so I was cleaning a lot! The toughest was probably the sugar glass. In the hot lights, that stuff melts fast! And it's really tough to get it off the floor once it does. And being a P.A., whatever I scraped up off the floor was my craft service. Yummy!
The following day, Wednesday, I worked with Maxann Crotts-Harvey on the casting for another commercial in S.C. We had a great time, but stayed busy. We saw over 125 actors. It was great to see so many familiar faces. Then, I spent the next 24 hours uploading all the videos for the L.A. producers to view. Best of luck to everyone who auditioned! (But I promise you: I have nothing to do with who's chosen!)
